BP4_2010041_DiscoveringWeb2.0Tool

Hello all,

Today I want to talk about gameclassroom. Gameclassroom is a web 2.0 learning tool for kindergarten through 6th grade students. The site is dedicated at improving the math and language skills of the students through different interactive and progressive games. Each grade level has its own skill building activities based on Houghton Mifflin Publishing curriculum.
The site is very easy to follow; I took a walk through to ensure that students would not get frustrated trying to navigate through it.
When you first visit the site at http://www.gameclassroom.com, all the grade levels are at the top of the page for easy access. Below that, there is a myriad of web links along with the featured games and newsletters. Once you click on the link for one of the grades, a new page opens up with the math section on side and the language Art portion on the other, and the topics covered for each subject is directly listed under the subject. Furthermore, each topic is presented with a sample problem and several activities related to the topic. This format makes it easy for the students to find what the looking unlike some other site that I have visited which were somewhat confusing in getting where I wanted to go.
I encourage everyone to that teaches or have a child in grades K to 6th to take a look at this site and take advantage of this free tool to enhance the learning outcome of our kids. This site is totally awesome and the best part of it, it is totally free.

I know you will like gameclassroom, your education site for the future once you visit it. So go ahead, visit the site and let the kids learn while playing the games they already love.

  1. Hey Chemaly, nice review of this tool! Eventhough I don't teach K-6, nor do I teach math & language arts, this is still something I would promote to my students. Also, this is a neat tool for parents who homeschool their children, which is something I may consider doing if I have children of my own someday. It's nice that it's connected to a credible publisher (Houghton Mifflin).

  2. Very good 2.0 tool. I also believe that anything that helps to enhance the K-6 learning is important. This tool can have many applications for both educators and parents. This is probably the best tool for homes choolers to use because extra resources are always good.
